We view safety as one of our core values, not merely as a job priority.  Safety is incorporated into our daily operations and is something that will not be compromised.

Our Smoot Safety Systems provides a clear statement of the company’s safety policy, safety program objectives, Smoot team member and trade/subcontractor safety expectations regarding conduct in all company environments, and disciplinary actions for safety procedure violations. Fundamental to the implementation of our approach to safety is our open door communication policy which is supported and practiced at every level of the Smoot organization – executive leadership, office management and field personnel.  Without this barrier-free exchange of information and ideas, no written policy or procedure would be successful.

As part of our efforts to continually improve jobsite safety, we have implemented a corporate-wide initiative requiring all project supervisory and management personnel (foremen, superintendents, engineers and managers) to complete 30 hours of intensive OSHA training.
